Christopher Black is a writer, director, and producer from Los Angeles. A career spanning 10 years, he began producing music videos (Earl Sweatshirt, ASAP Rocky, Blood Orange) and has since added commercials & documentaries to his résumé; most notably That B.E.A.T., a documentary commissioned by Nokia x Sundance and featured in Lemonade, Beyoncé’s visual album. In recent years, Christopher transitioned to directing music videos and recently completed his first narrative short film, JIM, a satire about a black, middle-school student faced with an awkward reading of a beloved American novel. In 2016, Christopher toured as the hype-man for the Grammy Award-winning band, Portugal. The Man who, in addition to director AG Rojas and Daniel Wolfe, also serve as Executive Producers on his short film.
